THE TOP TEN TIPS FOR HIRING A GOOD HVAC COMPANY–PART TWO
6) Here’s one of the biggest key factors here. The guy should come out and do an evaluation. Any HVAC company should come with a free inspection. They should take the time to look at your home and figure out your needs. A phone conversation is not going to be good enough. He or she will also inspect your homes for leaks and the like. If the person doesn’t seem to be doing this, then you don’t need to spend any more time with him.
7) Always, and I do mean always, get an estimate done first. Please. I am saving you guys from lots of hassles later. Clients in the past have been quoted on thing and then billed another number. The idea is to get two estimates. Make sure they both match up. If there is one estimate on the phone and one in person, this is not a good thing. It means you are being scammed.
8) get the stuff down in writing and in ink. If it’s in pencil it can be easily erased. If it’s in pen, then it means it’s legal. There’s an old saying here.
“THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD”— pass it along!
9-10) Once you have decided on an energy star company, then pass it along. Tell your friends and family about the company. Oh yeah, get the guide too. This guide can help direct you to other HVAC products and brands you might be able to use.
